    12 in 6 is three experienced motorcyclists from the UK riding through twelve European countries in just six days.
    The objective is to raise £20k from sponsorship to build and equip a new workshop in Zimbabwe for the ‘Riders for Health’ charity. Riders is a UK organisation operating in six African countries providing motorcycles and a logistical support infrastructure to health workers. This enables basic health care to reach communities that have been difficult (…or impossible) to get to in the past. Riders has been established for over twenty years and is currently running 1,274 vehicles.

    What is ‘Riders for Health’?

    Riders for Health’s vision is of a world in which the poor do not die simply because they can’t be reached. 

    • Every year, almost 11 million children under five die from preventable diseases including measles, diarrhoea and malaria.
    • Over a third of women in sub-Saharan Africa do not see any kind of health professional at any point during their pregnancy. 
    • In 2006 26.3 million children remained unvaccinated.
